Meet Shantel Garcia-Roldán
Founder • Financial Strategist • Community Leader
Shantel Garcia-Roldán founded ICS in 2013 with a clear mission: to help small business owners stop spinning their wheels and start building businesses that are organized, profitable, and built to grow.
With over 17 years of experience as a senior financial executive in accounting, operations, and administration, Shantel brings a rare blend of strategy, structure, and heart to the table. She’s helped both for-profit and nonprofit organizations overcome financial roadblocks, optimize operations, and create systems that support sustainable success.
As a Certified Management Accountant with a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of New Haven, Shantel equips clients not just with reports—but with the tools, clarity, and confidence to understand their numbers and lead their businesses with purpose.
Deeply rooted in the New Haven business community, she serves as Treasurer of the Board for Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven and as a Board Member for the Connecticut Women’s Consortium, where she advocates for education, equity, and economic empowerment.
When she’s not supporting clients or championing local causes, you’ll find her enjoying time with her husband and three children, baking fresh bread, or tending to her garden.
Our
Story
ICS was founded in 2013 by Shantel Garcia-Roldán, a seasoned financial expert with a heart for small businesses. The idea was born during a pivotal moment in Shantel’s life she was a full-time grad student at the University of New Haven, a new mom, and ready to make a shift.
Leaving her full-time job to focus on school, she launched ICS as a side hustle to stay connected to the accounting world. Her very first client? Back then, a newly established nonprofit in New Haven, which is still with ICS to this day.
Over the years, Shantel has worked with small nonprofits, local businesses, and service providers to clean up chaos, create systems, and build trust in their numbers. After graduating in 2014, she spent six years climbing the corporate ladder, sharpening her leadership and operations skills. But in 2020, like many, she felt called to reclaim balance, purpose, and flexibility and leaned fully into ICS.
Today, ICS helps service-based businesses move from being overwhelmed to having clarity through expert financial services and personalized support.
